Before the room opens

• Use a space and equipment only when the responsible person has authorised them.
• Describe who the gathering is for, what will happen, and how someone can observe or decline.
• Walk entry, seating, water, toilets, quiet space and exit routes before people arrive.
• Ask before serving food or passing on personal information; never infer consent from appearance.

While people are there

• Keep a clear edge where someone can watch, pause, or leave without a public explanation.
• Notice sound, light, crowding and pace. Offer a different option rather than demanding more effort.
• Use a plain pause signal and respect it immediately.
• For urgent danger, medical questions, legal questions or venue decisions, use the appropriate real-world authority.
